Welcome to Tri-State Soaring SocietyTri-State Soaring Society (TSSS or TS3) is a group of avid remote control soaring enthusiasts from Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. We meet throught the summer at different fields for a contest series. See the links at the left if you are interested in either joining, attending a contest, or just having a look around. Thanks Randy! Missed Approach on Sunday, June 21st. Be there! Based on Reece's input, it seems that the stalwart members of Tri-State had an enjoyable contest in Clarksburg. The silver lining is that when attendance is down, you sure can get a WHOLE LOT OF FLYING IN!!!! I need to clarify one score but they are up for now. Reece took some pictures that I'll get posted. Note from Bill G: Reece was timing for me, so it was his fault. Actually, we had a ball, lots of challenging flying, gray day, breezy, light lift, good company. Bill AD and Dennis Modar got two dates for Missed Approach this year, June 21 and August 23. There are also rumors of a return to MARS for a contest and a Butler contest. If you enjoy friendly competition and fly R/C sailplanes, take a look at the contest calendar and try to join us on some of them. If you like what you see and you want to join our
group, I'll put up the requirements for that. One thing to keep in mind, we
don't maintain a practice field. I think that just about all the TSSS members
also belong to a club that maintains at least one field, but we'd love to have
you. |
